Sam;s Story

Sam is currently experiencing homelessness.

Being here in this position has opened my eyes a lot. I had a rough childhood. Growing up, you don’t really realize how hard it was for your parents - having a child has made me appreciate my mom so much more and admire everything that she tried to do.

When we met Sam, she was cooking a meal for her friends outside.

If I had a home, I’d make everyone come to me. I love hosting dinners and cooking. Food brings people together and let’s us spend time with each other without even realizing.

Inspiration for my holiday card

When I was young, I woke up one Christmas morning and the whole couch was full of presents. I love getting people gifts and wrapping them - the little things make a difference.

My two dogs mean everything to me. Sometimes when everything’s too much, they help ground me and keep me company.

ABOUT

Our first Community Box was created by four members of our community who are overcoming adversity in their life.

The box includes four hand-designed cards with an elegant linen finish, with designs that are meaningful to each partner.

The Holiday Box includes:

A holiday card designed by Brandy, Elisa, Sam, and Tiffany (one card from each Creator).

PROFIT SHARING

Sam earned $50 for co-creating the products in her Community Box. Additionally, 50% of all our profits are shared with our Creators.
